Luxury Spirit Brand Joins High-End Restaurants in Exclusive Partnership
New York, NY (October 2, 2007) – Leblon, a luxury Cachaça from Brazil, announced today that the brand will now be available in all Glazier Group restaurants. Developed by Manhattan restaurateurs Peter and Penny Glazier, the Glazier Group owns and manages high-end venues including Michael Jordan’s The Steakhouse N.Y.C., Monkey Bar, Bridgewaters, Twenty Four Fifth and the Strip House, voted one of America’s Greatest Steakhouses by GQ magazine with 7 locations throughout the United States including New York City and Las Vegas. With this partnership, Leblon will be the exclusive Cachaça served at all of their nine locations.
“We are thrilled to be associated with such a highly renowned group of restaurants,” said founder and CEO of Leblon Steve Luttmann. “Their modern spirited atmosphere and acclaimed menus compliment our brand so well.”
“Leblon is an ultra-premium brand much like our restaurants,” said Peter H. Glazier, CEO and founder of The Glazier Group. “Our clients have come to expect the best and we believe Leblon will offer that.”
Leblon Cachaça debuted in the U.S. in February 2006. Now in its second year, Leblon is available for consumption and purchase in all 50 states. The brand is among a small handful of ultra-premium Cachaças that have widened the category to top bars, restaurants, clubs and other high-end destinations in the United States.
ABOUT LEBLON Leblon is an ultra-premium white Cachaça inspired by its namesake and place of origin, Leblon Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The rum-like spirit, the most award-winning Cachaça on the market, is made from fresh pressed Brazilian sugar cane that is then rested in cognac casks and blended to create superior complexity and taste. Leblon is the main ingredient in the Caipirinha, the national drink of Brazil, but also acts as a refreshing and creative substitute for a variety of other cocktails made from Vodka, Tequila, and Rum. Leblon is available at fine retailers, restaurants, bars and clubs throughout the United States, as well as the United Kingdom, France, Thailand, and Ireland.
